Pícaro is an orchid gin, born where the páramo, the cloud forests and the tropical rainforest meet. Made in micro-batches in copper stills and blended with high-altitude spring water. A crafted interpretation of Colombia's wild and extraordinary nature in every sip.
Our Gin
Pícaro is a dry-profile gin where citrus, floral and herbal notes pay homage to Colombian biodiversity. Our formula begins with the orchid and weaves together 18 select botanicals that highlight the richness of the Andean forest, its páramos and cloud forests, capturing the essence of its mystical, exotic surroundings.
Each botanical is distilled separately, in a house method we call Individualized Botanical Mastery. Each batch, handcrafted in small productions, is blended with páramo mineral water. Its purity is the essential component that subtly balances the flavors. A process of precision and attention to detail gathers in a single glass what the mountain holds across its heights.
Botanicals
Pink Pepper
A gentle heat with a sweetness of its own. It shows up mid-palate, just as the citrus lets go, opening the spiced ground where the rest of the botanicals finish showing themselves.
Mandarin Lime
A Colombian citrus that refuses to choose between tart and sweet. The aroma rounds out the spectrum and signs its name along the sides of the tongue. Grapefruit cuts; this one wraps.
Grapefruit
The sharp edge of the profile. Bitter, faintly tart jabs on the nose over deep citrus, then back at the finish with a quiet bite. It draws the line around the floral core and keeps it defined from first sip to last.
Juniper
What makes a spirit a gin. Fresh, resinous, pine in the background. In Pícaro it stays out of the front, holding up the frame the rest leans on, and earning its place by what it carries rather than what it shows.
Elderberry
The bottom of the profile. Floral depth with fruit notes underneath, leaving a sweetness with no sugar behind it. This is the flavor that lingers once the sip is gone, and the reason the finish holds on the palate.
Coffee Cherry
Coffee Cherry. The least known part of the coffee plant. The pulp around the bean, bittersweet and earthy, set under the citrus like a layer of soil. Colombian coffee slipping into gin through the side nobody watches.
Secret Formula
Of the 18 botanicals, seven are revealed. The remaining eleven stay in the house reserve. They are the ones that finish the profile, work its edges and hold the balance of the spirit, each worked with the same technique as the rest, one by one, from start to finish.

Our Story: Capturing the Magical Essence of Colombia
We are Colombians with a curious spirit and explorers by nature. We love gin for its complexity and for the way it tells stories through its essence. Our admiration for Colombia's untamed nature, and for the magical realism that surrounds it, led us to dream of something greater, a gin that could hold the essence of our land in a bottle. What we wanted was to show the world the treasures Colombia keeps to itself, not only its landscapes, flavors and aromas, but its secrets and its legends.
Our search took us to one of the most remote and enigmatic corners of the Andes, the Páramo del Duende. There, among wild orchids and clear mountain springs, the locals told us that the duende, a legendary creature of our folklore, protected this sanctuary, guiding or leading astray those who venture into the mountain.
That is how Pícaro Gin was born. From an encounter with mystery and wilderness. From a pact with nature, a tribute to the unseen, and an invitation to discover Colombia, sip by sip.

Altitude & Smoothness
High in the Andes, the lower atmospheric pressure allows distillation at lower temperatures. This delicate process preserves the aromatic complexity that excessive heat would destroy.
